Wednesday

An uninspiring train journey back down to South London early on Wednesday morning. The best it got was seeing my first operational Crossrail train outside of Shenfield.

The fella sitting next to me attempted The Metro crossword. He struggled to complete it, even with his phone in his hand as he looked up half the answers.

What’s the point?

4. across: Big fella, Takes up more than one seat. Slightly cheesy, etc.

This was a working day without the Brompton. The rain put me off. I was also hopeful of picking up the new Moulton later in the afternoon from Bob - he of Bob’s Bikes.

And so a bus journey down to SE17 instead.

I boarded the wrong bus, natch.

I crossed at Southwark Bridge - something which always confuses me

It doesn’t actually exist, right?

Christmas had come to SE17.

The morning was spent in Year 1 making some Christmas decorations. I was rather enjoying myself until Boy Y’s brother decided to redecorate my box fresh Nike Airs with glitter.

My glitter phobia went off the bloody radar.

And then the afternoon was all about the KS2 Christmas concert.

It’s no secret that I don’t give a stuff about Christmas. But this event is the one time in the season when I come close to going a little ahhhh - isn’t it lovely?

I recorded most of the concert and snapped away. I even brought in a reserve f717 cam. I’ve been burnt at previous concerts with the original throwing a wobbly.

I didn’t hang around for the evening concert. I had a work shift back in the flat.

I stopped off at Bob - he of Bob’s Bikes - to pick up the serviced Moulton.

But Bob wasn’t there.

And so my days of rolling out on a Moulton Deluxe once again will have to wait a little longer.

I walked it through Oval and back to Sunny Stockwell. I stopped off at Lidl to stock up on naan bread.

The bloody Estuary Wilds doesn’t sell naan bread - well, not at 49p for two, anyway.

A two hour work shift followed in the flat.

And then a long, long evening of editing and publishing SE17 school content. Eighteen videos and three pieces of audio were turned around.

Happy with that.

Let’s do it all again in SW9 in the morning.

oh - and the lido.

BOLLOCKS.
