A rare excursion into some *shhh* words for m’photoblog. The much-missed The Way We See It has long since disappeared behind the back of the settee of the modern interweb.
The ethos for the online / offline network was for any interested London photographers to share images each week of a specific location. Mr WWSI would post up a London location; the task was to capture the area in three shots as a weekly discipline.
It was… The Way We See It.
This was then shared via the site. It was slightly competitive, but quickly became something more social. Individual photographers became pals, combining the photo shoot with a social meet.
And then the site died.
@richardallon and I have missed those weekly London photo shoots. The simple pleasure of cycling off to a London piss alley, taking part in a hit and miss shoot and then a weekly social catch up.
We’re not proposing to resurrect WWSI – we both can’t be arsed with the site build and admin. We can’t even commit to a weekly shoot. We are keen though to carry on snapping in a completely unorganised network for no other purpose than to learn, share and stay social.
If anyone else wants to join us for these irregular London photo shoots then please do contact either @Jason_Cobb or @richardgallon. You can cary out the task independently, or join us for a social shoot at the weekends. We can then share any images collectively over a variety of social channels.
First off – Fleet Street and Assorted Piss Alleys.
