A 7am work shift in the flat to start off the working week. I had to check the date to see if it wasn’t 2003 all over again.
Dickie Thompson on #LateJunction was another constant from back in the day. He’s one of those artists that I should explore a little more.
But you know - time…
#LateJunction then went straight into some annoying BLOWY BLOWY jazz.
I love the unpredictability of #LateJunction; but sometimes I like the mute button even better.
BE GONE, you blowy blowy jazz bloke.
The rest of Monday was all about work and waiting for my men.
A run of work shifts punctuated appointments with a locksmith and a gutter man.
Mr Locksmith came could; my gutter man was stuck up a ladder somewhere else and blew me out.
Bugger.
Also going AWOL were the worms for the South Lambeth Road wormery. They were due to be delivered to bloody Essex. Anna updated that an empty cardboard box had arrived.
The saga of the missing wormery, worms and water butt will define my summer of 2017.
I bashed out the People’s Audit Part II for Buzz. I like the persistence of this lot. They aren’t going to go away ahead of the local elections in Lambeth next May.
I continued with the Peel listening as the work shifts kicked in.
Oh how we miss his wit.
I then switched to Surrey ball-by-ball up at Old Trafford. It’s been a long old season. It is BONKERS that England still have a couple of ODI’s to bat out as we reach the end of September.
STUMPS - Surrey have pushed hard but not made the breakthrough this evening.

The highlight of Monday was getting to use my magnetic window cleaner for the first time in the flat.
I was a little shaky at first, nervous of a hefty magnetic cleaning device coming crashing down from three floors up.
But it worked a bloody treat.
I waited for the inevitable rain / pigeon shit.
Some manic housework, and then I had to peg it across town on the Brompton over to LS, and back to *over there.*
Oh dear.
Run of green lights all the way from Sunny #Stockwell to LS. Chapeau! https://t.co/AOgcIdRuNk

The bicycle ride was a rarity - a run of green lights all the way from SW8 to LS.
The train journey was spent editing more school content. It’s relentless, but rewarding.
An hour later and I was back in the Estuary Wilds with Anna and a couple of mischievous cats.
Time to acclimatise.
Don’t forget to breathe, Jase.
