Tuesday

It’s never a good sign when the lead story on the 6am news concerns the BIG client that you have a 7am work shift for.

uh-oh.

I was expecting a rough ride. It turns out that the story was something of a non-story. Or the modern interweb was still asleep.

Daisy wasn’t asleep. She brought into the kitchen her first frog.

Cheers, luv.

No favouritism here. Honest #FaveKitten

Whereas Dotty likes to tease the frogs - I lie, she likes to KILL them - Daisy sat back and watched Mr Frog.

I let her carry on with her inter-species observations for five minutes. I then lobbed Mr Frog over the garden fence.

Tuesday then became a wash day. The Estuary Wilds was radiant and windy. I managed to get four washes on the line.

Life around these parts is always on the go, Comrades.

A dropped sock on the lawn was then returned by Dotty.

I’m half expecting her to bring in a pair of Y-fronts from a neighbour. This follows an ‘exchange’ about kitten garden hopping etiquette later in the morning.

Apologies, etc.

Work tools were downed at luncheon. I cycled along the Trail towards the gym with very tired legs. The CTC Sunday Club Run had finally caught up with me.

Machine Hogs had taken up possession of most of the equipment in the gym.

Arses.

I tried my luck in the pool instead.

Flipper Lady joined me in the fast lane. I felt very inferior as she flippered her way past me.

I called it quits when a strand of hair became stuck to my face. I’m still not convinced that it wasn’t a long pube.

A little more work, and then a little Daniel Cruz Tizon listening.

I’m finding myself talking back to his podcasts, such is the informal nature of the delivery.

“I was typing Grange Hill scripts staring myself”

…led to a rather loud laugh.

Daisy and Dotty did a runner through the cat flap.

Gilles Peterson dropped Lost in Music as a tribute to Joni.

I remember back in my youth club days that the bass line got all the South Notts b-boys doing their funky thing.

I still LOVE The Fall version, mind.

The South Lambeth Road company bank situation sees no signs of finding a resolution. Half an hour of the day was lost on the phone to the bank to try and trace some missing funds.

I finally finished the Rip It Up book early evening. I was on a tight deadline. The book was due back today, and the library closed at 7pm.

The ZTT run of glory covering Frankie, Art of Noise and the perfect Propaganda was saved until the final chapter.

I’m not sure what happened to the rest of Tuesday evening. I had some FaceTime catching up with Anna, bits of online admin and attempts at getting the kittens indoors.

Oh - I watched an episode of Boon as well.

Blimey.
