Monday

Monday already.

OK…

The 7am work shift was smooth.

I then had a mid-morning of admin.

Our BT line went down over the weekend. I couldn’t be arsed to fix it.

We never use the line. As long as the modern interweb box of magic is stuffing my big fat pipe full of digital goodies, then I’m happy.

I set myself five minutes to try and resolve it.

If not then I would move on.

Reporting online was an arse.

Oh the irony of putting in a proper phone call and having some success.

A couple of hours later and the landline was back working. We might get a phone call on the old line before the year is out.

Also on my To Do list was sorting out a locked Apple account.

I do struggle.

Fifteen minutes was the timeframe for this.

Got there.

Just.

I had a whole suite of new work browsers to install. We work off Chrome and Firefox. A set of five company secured browsers are white badged up for each platform.

It’s a bit of a pain installing and setting up ten different browsers. Keeping different clients boxed away from the same browser requires it though.

Monday Trail #WeirdWiv

I cycled off to the gym under stunning late October conditions. It felt more like mid-summer.

This was a return to the treadmill for the first time in about three months. My right foot has been f-ed. I’ve been resting it, apart from the weekly ritual of Park Run.

Perhaps the weekly ritual of Park Run is why my right foot is f-ed?

Hey hoe.

Fifteen minutes on the treadmill was fine. I’m still using the exact same time, speed and incline settings from Brixton Rec going back two decades.

Still got it, Jase. Still got it.

Apart from the f-ed right foot.

Some weights, and then a swim.

The pool had a few ‘characters’ from the village in adjacent lanes. I cut my lengths short and buggered off.

In Smock News:

I came VERY close to snaffling this. It hits the ponce spot that I have been trying to get in recent weeks.

But it’s a little to large for me.

Maybe I should become a fat artist?

More work back at base.

And then the surprise of a reprieve for South London Hardcore.

LOVE those guys.

I fear that the next podcast to drop will be in a decade or so.

The delightful Madam Dotty

Dotty disappeared for far too long. Anna and I both started to get a little worried late in the afternoon.

The weather went WEIRD.

Orange sky and a nuclear sun. We were concerned that Dotty had become freaked by the conditions.

She returned as the sun was still trying to set.

Naughty Dotty.

Match talk on BBC Nottingham was depressing.

Are we seriously talking about getting rid of Warburton?

That bloody Brian Clough Trophy always seems to see off one of the managers. I like to think that it is karma from Old Big ‘ead.

Mr @bennisonfarm delivers: Thank you!

Nice.

I then buggered off to a Town Council meeting.

It was… lengthy.

A brief catch up with Anna and the cats.

Bed.
