Monday

Day 3 of Le Tour de Norfolk.

But first a Brixton Buzz exclusive over breakfast.

You try bashing out a bloody significant story from a North Norfolk caravan with patchy WiFi.

I’ve been putting the legwork in on this story for the past few days. The final piece in the jigsaw dropped early Monday morning.

I was going to wait until after the Bank Holiday to publish.

But some stories NEED to get out there.

As ever - what a bloody mess.

I rolled out later than planned on Stage 3.

From memory, the Garmin route that I hashed together was 50km.

This was suppose to be the comedown after the killer stage on Sunday.

As ever, I had NO IDEA where I was going.

Follow the dancing purple arrow on the Garmin, Jase.

I took a water stop on around 32km. I looked at the Garmin overlay map and WOH! I wasn’t even halfway around the route.

Bollocks.

My random online map drawing did take me through some delightful North Norfolk villages away from the coast. The roads were empty, the ride was a decent pace.

81km later and I made it back to the van.

Oh dear

And so that was Le Tour de Norfolk. 237km in three days.

Happy with that.

Time was a little tight. I had a spare hour down on the beach.

Bank Holiday Skies, innit

And then a quick shower, and the train journey back to the Estuary Wilds.

Bank Holiday bicycle touring, innit. Chapeau!

Monday evening was spent catching up with Anna and the cats.

Dotty is fine.

Dotty is a worry.

I picked up a late, late work shift.

I am not riding my bicycle in the morning.

Chapeau!
