Sunday

I dipped into some @RobertElms catch up on the iPlayer as I munched over the Bran Flakes on Sunday morning.

He played Kirsty 🙁

My Affair and the Electric Landlady album remain my fave Kirsty period. It’s painful to think what she would be doing musically if she was still around.

Anna buggered off to the garden, hunting and scavenging for her breakfast.

She returned with… raspberries.

You don’t say.

Thankfully the end is in sight.

The plan was for a long day in the saddle with the CTC club run.

But that BEAST of a bloody dark cloud around luncheon put me off.

RACE FACE. Chapeau!

And so instead Anna and I rolled out on the Wifey Weekend Roll Out route around Abberton.

Strava was misbehaving, not saving the first 10km or so.

It was chilled around the North Essex lanes. It was a return to long sleeve lycra for the first time in a couple of months.

Some dirty f-er had dumped a stained mattress, along with ‘used’ toilet paper roadside.

SHIT THE BED, etc.

You filthy f-er.

I had a bit of a Lance Armstrong Côte de la Rochette moment downhill towards Abberton. I misjudged the road and ended up cross country.

OK…

We made it back to the gym for a bit of a clean up. A decent chat with @nickjbarlow followed.

I did the weights GRUNTING, and then 40 lengths.

That felt good.

The UKIP Racist Spa was out of action.

Goodo.

I had a dash back to base for the afternoon shifts.

I also wanted to finally sign off on school work until September.

This didn’t happen.

Videos were edited, audio was was placed into playlists. But I still need to glue it all together from the front end.

Six weeks off the school content treadmill will be well received.

Rather tired, tbh…

#Homegrown double ender, innit
