The morning after the cricket carnage from the day before.
OUCH.
That bloody hurt.
It all had to be paid for as well. Which is why most of Sunday was put aside for work shifts.
Pay to play, etc - even if Surrey did lose at Lord’s 🙁
We managed a brief bicycle ride on the Grand Depart weekend. It wasn’t quite time trial territory, but the roll out towards Lawford was pleasant, all the same.
This was the first ride for Anna on her roadie since it was serviced. The bicycle mechanic magic worked. She pushed me from behind, so to speak, all the way around the 30km circuit.
And then the work…
I managed to edit and publish the photos from HQ on Saturday. I maintain that I still take my best snaps when I am tired and emotional.
Stop / start / stop work.
A stop in the schedule saw a swim.
The Trail was fast, the gym was empty and the pool sparser still.
My kinda session.
A little more work and then some naked gardening.
I kid you not.
It was STEAMING out there and so I stripped off. A little dignity for the neighbours was left in place.

Anna put this BEAUT out in the front early morning. Dotty and Daisy had taken an unhealthy interest in it.
I found it dead around ten hours later 🙁
And then out went the shout of:
“To the Spesh Tree!”
Oh Lordy.
Actually it was a Weird Wiv walk. We did take in the Spesh Tree - even though we still can’t work out why Wiv yoof find it so special.
We caught up with two days of highlights from Le Tour.
And so it begins…
