Friday

Django Bates and his big band Sgt Pepper reworking on #LateJunction early on Friday morning.

Blimey. That was a little lively.

I’m trying to avoid all the Pepper nostalgia this weekend. You move forward, right?

…said the bloke who played Billy Joel’s BRILLIANT Innocent Man album later in the day.

I subbed a Buzz piece for that nice Mike Urban.

He asked if he had been too critical? I feared that he had held back tbh.

The 7am work shift settled down after the tech issues of Thursday.

I only had a window of an hour to fix up and look sharp with some fitness.

There was no other option but to LEG IT around the Estuary Wilds.

Oh dear

I’m calling it a 10km route. It’s actually 9.1km, but stats are always overrated.

Apart from the one that states that I managed 43’28”.

Woh!

Very happy with that.

My running benchmark back in the day was 45 minutes for 10km.

And so given that some 25 years later I ducked under the time limit on a 10km-ish run, then yep - bloody happy.

I’ll feel stiff in the morning, if you know what I mean.

The work continued, and so did the tunes.

@RobertElms played *that* Electric Penguins Ldn song.

It is gorgeous listening - even with a prejudiced pair of S Ldn ears.

I gave the new Willie Nelson album another spin, and then some Lowell George.

This led to the new Little Steven album. You know what you’re getting with an album called Soulfire. It’s bloody good fun.

Another hour break in the stop / start working day. Just enough time for a quick clean up around the garden.

Anna and I were out in the front chatting to the lovely neighbour. Dotty appeared along the pavement.

Oh dear.

We’ve turned a blind eye to her ramblings, assuming / hoping that she stays clear of the road.

Apparently not.

I reckon that she was in a back garden nearby and heard us gossiping out in the front.

I’m not going to gossip with my wife in the front garden ever again.

Work, work, and then a pleasant Friday break at a reasonable time in the afternoon.

I pressed on with the photo unarchiving.

I’ve finally reached the end of the 30 odd CDR’s containing every photo that I’ve taken from 2003 - 2007.

Next up is a couple of old iPhoto libraries to unarchive. Gawd knows what I will find.

I bashed out a brief Buzz piece on Your Nu Bloody Town Hall.

Mike Urban asked about the election.

Thankfully I’ve got a 5am work start next Friday when all the fallout will begin.

Some *odd* tweets flowed back and forth to South Lambeth Road.

Personal is the political, etc Comrades.

The Estuary Wilds sky opened.

Daisy and Dotty did a runner outside.

Dotty reappeared with another present.

NAUGHTY DOTTY

Naughty Dotty.

We settled down to watch the ICC Trophy highlights and then #BBCQT.

Oh dear.
