Sunday

Sunday was all about the CTC Club Run.

And that was about it.

Chapeau!

Oh dear

This was my first ride as an official CTC member. I’m not sure how I have been able to ride as a ringer for the best part of five years.

Rather than the usual North Colchester explorations, the route took in my familiar territory of Tendring.

Live the garden centre DREAM, Jase

We stopped off for coffee at a Lawford garden centre.

The CTC rule book state that ALL coffee breaks must be taken at bloody garden centres.

It was half decent, mind.

Luncheon in Walton on the CTC Club Run, innit

The push was then on to reach Walton-on-the-Naze for a seaside luncheon. The coastal head wind built up as we climbed a succession of big hills.

Bugger.

It was bitterly cold down on the Walton front. I tucked into my three pate rolls that I had prepared early on Sunday morning.

The rest of the ride was ACE.

We rode the coastal path, taking in the Art Deco Frinton front, Clacton’s Bank Holiday playfulness, and then Jaywick.

There’s a C5 documentary to be made, observing the transition from Art Deco to shanty town, all in the space of a half hour ride.

I ducked out at Great Bentley. I arrived back at base in time for the N Ldn derby.

I finally finished the Surrey Royal London match from Friday.

Anna returned from silly golf.

We attepted to complete a Power of Attorney admin.

Life is too short, etc.

Which is kinda the point, Jase.

Aching.
