An overcast lovely lido to start the working week.
Hey hoe.
There is no such thing as a bad swim, Comrades.
We’ve reached the stage where you stop obsessing over the water temperature. It wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t freeze your bollocks off either.
I only had time for ten lengths. I missed out on the ducks doing their bobbing thing earlier in the morning.
A brief catch up with le gai pensionnaire followed in the gents. I wish had more social time with the Icicles.
SE17 was calling. I had a day out with the lovely Year 1 kids at the nearby Blue Elephant Theatre.
They have been working on a couple of brilliant but BONKERS productions. The script, lyrics and some of the music had all come out of the wonderful minds of Key Stage 1 kids.
I got a little lost in the plot. It involved a wizard, a giant cookie and knocking down a zoo to build a library.
It was the best piece of theatre I have seen all year.
My f717 camera had a bit of a tech fail for the afternoon performance. I knew that this was coming. My back up was over in bloody Essex though. I pressed on, snapping away with my iPhone.
The walk back through Burgess Park was beautiful. I spent many a happy half hour here whilst working full time in SE17. The park has been transformed in recent years. It still contains very much an SE17 feel.
Back at school and I walked straight into an end of term ukulele concert. I’m no fan of Justin Bieber, but he sounded much better being played by talented Year 4 kids.
The end of the school day went a little wonky.
oh.
I then had to leg it over to LS and back to *over there.*
Oh dear.
Don’t forget to breathe, Jase.
Don’t forget to breathe.
