This is Not America with @RobertElms on Monday morning.
Yer man passed no comment; the message was in the music.
He also gave Ian Shaw’s Drive In Saturday another airing. It appears that it is on a Clifford Slapper album.
A mid-morning phone call to Lambeth Council wasn’t as frustrating as it could have been.
We are in need of some trader’s parking permits for South Lambeth Road. The online route has a TEN DAY turnaround period, plus the guarantee that you will be in when they are delivered.
Nope. Not for me.
The offline alternative is to book an appointment at Olive Morris House, and then fork out £18.50.
That’s £18.50 per parking permit, per day.
OUCH.
Work was mad for Monday. Gilles Peterson carried me over the line.
I played around a little with my very old Sony V3 camera late afternoon. It stopped working around four or five years ago.
The issue is the navigation button.
It is buggered.
This means that you can’t get past the Set Date start up screen to actually take some snaps.
Arse.
I found a workaround that got me into snappy snaps mode.
It’s takes a beautiful shot when it’s working. I’ve got a wide angle lens that can lead to some interesting experimentation.
The estuary wilds skies were fading.
Perfect I thought for some sketchy wide angle fun out along the river.
The limited functionality with the navigation meant that I was shooting blind.
I only had 34 shots available. I couldn’t change the RAW resolution size.

I rather enjoyed the restrictions.
I shot snap #34 as the Canadian Geese flew from the Alresford side of the Muddy Banks over to Fingringhoe.
I was pleased that I didn’t lose the moment by trying to capture it through a lens. Sometimes there is no substitute for living what you can see in front of you.
An email dropped early evening showing that we are almost out of the monthly bandwidth limit for one of the South London schools.
The traffic has been hammered in the past week. I suspect that Mr Ofsted is sniffing around behind the scenes.
Match Talk on BBC Nottingham was painful listening.

I kinda respect Young Nigel’s decision.
His Trent End return will one day come.
And then some pure settee slouching of a film to finish off Monday.
I do miss the good ‘ol hockey game.
