Sunday was the second consecutive day of waking up and feeling a little unsteady.
You bloody FOOL, Jase. You should never mix your drinks.
A clear Estuary Wilds sky was what I needed to clear the head.
I cycled off along the Trail and was treated to 100 or Canadian Geese waiting for the water to come in.
#RefugeesWelcome, etc.
The swim was on of the best of the year. I had the whole pool to myself. I built up the momentum as I pressed on for 40 lengths.
Back at base and plans were being made with Red Maz of Bal’ham to head up on to campus. The occasion was some junior fencing tournament at the Sports Centre. Red Maz’s niece was competing.
This was the first time that Anna, Red Maz and me have all been back on campus together in a quarter of a century.
Gosh.
The fencing looked fun. My concentration levels meant that we managed under an hour or so.
Bruising skies were threatening a bloody downpour. We cut our losses and cycled back home.
Anna commented that the front garden was in need of some water after a dry January.
I pointed to the skies up above.
We watched the England Vs India t20. Our heads were also locked down into various other devices.
I edited the Parkrun photos from Saturday. They were’t all that to be honest.
The Man Utd match kept us company. We then settled down to watch once again A Midsummer’s Night Dream from The Globe.
I wanted to see it once more live after being blown away by the magic at the start of last summer. I was surprised to see that it is still on the iPlayer.
Absolutely stunning.
It’s still bloody raining btw.
