The early Monday morning work shift, plus seeing Anna off to South London.
That girl cuts it finer each time.
I had a mid-moring break in shifts for the swim. The frost was still lingering along The Trail.
It really was quite magical.
I can say without any degree of doubt that I was the youngest person swimming in the pool. It’s not exactly Baywatch in the converted Colchester gas showroom.
I cycled back to base, and predictably the kittens legged it outside when I opened the back door.
The strategy is to tire them out in the morning, and hopefully they will sleep all afternoon and evening when I am working.
They were out in the garden for a little longer than I felt comfortable with. Dotty [stop it] led the way, leading Daisy [STOP IT] underneath the garden shed.
The tried and trusted way to get them back in is to lob a ping pong ball back into the kitchen.
GOTCHA.
Work was surprisingly quiet.
I ponced around still wearing my cycling tights, plus the pair of brogues that I bought in a charity shop last month.
They left HUGE blisters when I first wore them out and about. I’m experimenting with some moleskin support that I bought.
That’s quite a look, Jase.
I had a load of work training to catch up with during the afternoon. It’s for a short term, rapid fire project. Detial is everything…
The Boro Vs Hull match bored the arse off me early evening.
Work shifts took me all the way through to 11pm.
