Sunday

A Sunday morning roll out on the Tourer.

Air in the tyres, a LUBED chain and a clear climb up Tenpenny Hill.

Chapeau!

Anna and I were cycling towards Destination Holland on Sea. It sounds a lot more exotic than the reality of a washed out Essex seaside town.

The run in was quite beautiful: blue skies and empty lanes. I set a pace that was best described as steady, even for a Sunday morning.

Little Holland was closed.

Every other shop appeared to be selling either mobility scooters or coffins.

We didn’t dee the Dog Shit Denier of North East Essex.

It was decided that a train journey would take us home, rather than a return bicycle ride. We walked along the coast as Clacton came within our sight.

The morning went a little downhill from here onwards. I couldn’t decide if it was dope or dog shit that I could smell along the promenade.

The only saviour was a Sunday morning Lidl run for some pastries.

Luncheon was spent in the back garden.

The leaves have now all dropped and been swept, which must mean that it is time to FORK IT.

And so it begins with the bloody back garden lawn.

Daisy [stop it] did manage to find a rogue leaf. She went BONKERS for five minutes or so doing her teeth chattering routine.

We watched the first half of the Liverpool Vs Bournemouth match, and then I had a run of work shifts through until early evening.

I edited and published the school content from SW9 late in the evening.

LOVE that school.
