Monday

I knew that the rain was coming as I cycled back from the gym on Monday morning.

It didn’t mean that I missed it.

A damp Monday, innit

The Trail is looking like it needs some love. This is a little alarming, so early into the winter season.

The wind weary reeds are bowing down in the direction of the University. I don’t do deference, and so pedalled along in the downpour for the work shifts back at base.

Big Youth’s Screaming Target was the soundtrack of choice for a miserable Monday. It was an unlikely bosom buddy for the estuary wilds abysmal conditions.

I started work late afternoon on the company accounts for the South Lambeth Road flat. There’s a few gaps in there that need explaining…

A phone call to the pet insurance company did little to lift the mood. We are still expecting a settlement on the final bill for the mad cat after we said farewell to her in the summer.

“How is Murphie?”

…asked an optimistic Mr Pet Insurance man.

Murphie is dead.

oh.

🙁

Match Talk on BBC Nottingham was a rare source of optimism. I’m being drawn back to Trentside with every passing week.

I did a little more photo unarchiving early evening. It seems that I spent most of the summer of 2006 at Lord’s.

The Six Days of Ghent filled the evening TV schedule, and then the Back in Time for Brixton on BBC2.

I don’t think the time reference was in relation to the programme being about half an hour too long.

Big old day at the vets for the kittens tomorrow.

Snip, snip.

#FaveKitten and the Other One. They're for the female snip in the morning 🙁
