7am work, and then it was a coin toss between a swim or a run for Tuesday morning.
The swim won the best of three.
I was rewarded with a STUNNING bicycle ride in along the Trail. The Hythe was truly resplendent in the autumnal sun.
It’s all about reflections, Comrades.

Nothing spectacular to say about the swim. One day I will recount how I managed 2km butterfly, tumble turns et al.
But Tuesday was the traditional 40 lengths of freestyle, and then a light stretch in the steam room.
Work was disjointed. I tried to fit in other activities in-between the stop / start schedule.
I managed to fit in a little Chronic activity.
I caught up with the Arena film on the Roundhouse. I have drunken memories of seeing Suede sometime in the mid 90’s being joined on the Roundhouse stage by Neil Tennant.
Ah - here we are.
It wasn’t the drugs, after all.
More work, all carried out with the sweet soundtrack of Bobby Womak’s The Poet album.
And then Tuesday evening was all about track cycling and the London Six Day Series.
“He nods like a donkey but he goes like a stallion,”
… as Mr Eurosport said of Nate Koch.
Chapeau!
