Late Junction was a little too experimental to keep me company on the 7am work shift on Thursday morning.
I switched instead to Serenade Radio, and was rewarded with some Julie London.
*swoon*
The estuary wilds drizzle descended. I’m buggered if I’m mounting the bicycle and setting off for a swim in that weather.
And so a run in the rain instead.
It was a fair to mid plodding of a plod.
Bowie’s Everything Has Changed third disc appeared on the iPod. It somehow suited the mood as I made my way around Wivenhoe Park.
And then by pure coincidence, Lesley Ann Jones was a guest of @RobertElms later in the morning, talking all about her new Bowie book.
Work was light for most of the day. Which gave me a little more kitty time.
Having been holed up in their safe room since Saturday, Dotty [stop it] has been desperate to explore the rest of the house. Daisy is a little more… meh.
And so with time on my hands, I introduced them to a brave new world of where we live by opening up the library door.
They remained where they were and fell asleep for the next hour.
Cats.
Overrated.
They did eventually do the long cat thing and explored their new surroundings. It wasn’t that exciting to be honest. They did make for decent dusters underneath the settee.
A little more work, a little hit and miss Chronic action.
1,700 page impressions for ten minutes of keyboard bashing?
Woh.
Anna returned from Transpontonia early evening.
We caught up with the kittens.
And BOOZE.
