Friday

I had the moon underwater down by Lake Brockwell first thing on Friday morning.

Despite the brilliant Brockwell blue skies, the moon was still refusing to do a disappearing act for the day.

The illuminations were so strong that I caught a glimpse of it whilst submerged underwater.

Or maybe that was just the lido floodlights that were left on once again?

Ten lengths in and the South London sun burst through to over power the moon. The rays were so powerful that I couldn’t see the lanes above water. It was only when submerged that I could find a sense of direction.

I tarted up in the gents, and then cycled back through Brixton, Camberwell and then destination Walworth. I had another school day in SE17.

I managed to fit everything in that I wanted to, plus a little more added audio and video value as well. The Y6 African drumming workshop was a highlight.

And then the cycle across the river and to Liverpool Street for the weekend journey back to over there.

Oh dear.

Greater Anglia cancelled my train with no notice, and with no explanation.

Hey hoe.

You soon develop a zen like approach to dealing with these Greater Anglia cock ups. Simply go along with the ride.

Or not - as was the case on the Liverpool Street concourse early on Friday evening.

I finally made it back to the other end of the line.

Friday evening was spent catching up with Anna and some Grand Tour highlights. I completed La Vuelta, so to speak.

Oh - and some booze for the first time in a month.

Blimey.

Chin chin.
