Early morning mist along the muddy banks of the Colne.
I looked out of the attic window to see if we were on high or low water.
WOH.
It looked dangerously high through my sleep deprived eyes.
Man the barricades!
It was simply a conveyor belt of early autumnal mist, tracing the route of the river and rising a little higher than the town as it cut its way back upstream.
A 7am work shift and #LateJunction catch ups eased me into Tuesday.
The Prince Buster tribute was perfect. Every Tuesday should start with some ska.
Actually, every day should start with some ska.
All aboard!
Early work shifts came to a close, and so I cycled off along the Trail for a swim.
A pancake half in, half out tide greeted me.
It looked at though it really couldn’t be arsed to swing either way. It was an asexual estuary.
The swim wasn’t anything spectacular. One morning you are diving into the beauty of Lake Brockwell, and then the next you find yourself swimming in an indoor converted gas showroom in Essex.
Life.
meh.
I did savour the bicycle ride back home. I am experiencing something of an Indian Summer myself around these parts. Beauty and wonderment are being found where once I saw dogshit.
I listened to the King of America album during the morning work shifts. There was no particular reason - it just seemed to suit the mood.
I attempted to tackle the garden over luncheon. A week away in South London and everything has exploded.
Garden has gone a little bonkers. Bless these estuary wilds pic.twitter.com/04vGzPzezf

More work, and then some image editing from the SW9 Monday school.
Like a fool I updated 100+ files to the wrong school server… and then deleted the sources files before I realised my error.
I painfully downloaded the images once again from the wrong school, and then uploaded them to where they should be.
The modern interweb can be a right bloody pain.
And then more work shifts all the way through until late evening. We’ve been using Grabyo as a social tool to edit and publish videos across various platforms for a current client.
It is a powerful tool - almost too powerful with little warning signs to undo any errors.
I’ve got a family day trip to North Norfolk tomorrow.
Nice, even under the circumstances.
