An Anna inspired midweek run to start Wednesday.
A swim was always the plan. Anna decided to do her little trot around the town.
That looks like fun; I’ll do something similar, I thought.
And so I set off plodding down to the Quay, all the way along the estuary to the Creek, and then back through Alresford.
I LOVE that route.
It was the first estuary wilds run that I did some six summers ago. I’ve been neglecting it for the more sterile University route of late.
In Cat News: No idea.
She is stable and seems settled. That is all we can hope for right now.
Food and drink are being taken on board. Pills are being mashed in the food.
It’s not ideal, but we’ve decided that the stress of trying to pill pop her is not helping the actual heart condition.
It’s a worry.
We’re looking at exploring the idea of pill pockets. Anyone got any feedback on these?
Cat people: anyone got any experience of pill pockets please? https://t.co/1AkiJfmv0K

Hurrah for pet insurance, btw.
I had a light workload for Wednesday. This was always the plan for the summer, with plenty of cycling, cricket and booze to make up the numbers.
With the mad cat now housebound, so am I.
I quite like it that way to be honest.
@RobertElms lifted the mood by playing Drive In Saturday.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Routemaster feature on the Oz obscenity trials raised a smile.
HONK! @peter_watts. Oz obscenity trial with @RobertElms about to start. HONK!

The unexpected collision of the His ‘n’ Hers both working at home day brought a few choice conversations.
Just as I was in the middle of hiding some FB comments on Major Client X’s page, the Digital Team Guru that is, um, Anna, asked if… you could hide comments on a FB page.
I hope that we both weren’t working on the same client from the opposite sides of the cat recovery room.
LIKE, etc.
We had some old University friends visiting us in the evening. They returned to Wivenhoe House for a couple of days and spent some time with us.
We had a wander down to the Quay, and then a very decent meal at the Black Buoy.
The mad cat was on my mind of course.
We returned late evening to find that she had enjoyed her food as much as we had enjoyed ours.
Plus she legged it through the pussy tunnel for the first time since the troubles of last week.
She’s getting stronger, but I know that the outlook is bleak. I am just starting to come to terms with this.
Hey hoe.
