Tuesday

Up early to see Anna off to South London.

Passing ships / Greater Anglia trains in the night, etc.

Why don’t we just move to the halfway house of bloody Chelmsford and be done with it?

Nope.

Which left me on mad cat duty for a couple of days before I bugger off back to South London.

The mad cat has been taking an interest of late in sitting inside the house, face pressed right up against the front door.

On the other side is the wisteria.

Top of my To Do list for Tuesday was to hack back at the wisteria growth that has built up over the past week.

The mad cat has now alerted me to the possibility of a wood pigeon nest in the wisteria.

Awww.

Which all means no wisteria hacking for me.

We did a similar thing last summer. It led to one baby bird just about managing to fly the nest and find sanctuary elsewhere.

Meanwhile the naughty cat from next door got an extra meal out of the baby brother.

And so apologies, neighbours; the wisteria will remain a BEAST for this year. They’ve made their nest and they can lie in it.

BIG #ESSEX SKIES

I cycled off along the Trail for a return to indoor swimming for a few days.

It felt odd.

Fifty lengths were ticked off with the minimum of fuss.

It seems WEIRD that less than 48 hour ago and I could barely move at The Globe because of my dodgy back.

Got my name on it

My reward was a solitary strawberry at the other end of the Trail.

Delightful.

I installed SimpleNote across a couple of devices mid-morning. Notes on the iPhone has just been too flaky of late.

There’s an issue with the mobile synching with the desktop. I was caught short, so to speak, trying to pick up a train ticket last week. My reference number was logged on the MacBook back at base.

SimpleNotes appears… smooth.

Work was of the stop / start variety.

And so was the estuary wilds weather.

The plan was to tackle the garden, bit by bit, in-between the half hour breaks.

But the bloody weather coincided with the burst of work activity.

And so that was Tuesday.

Oh - #whynotjointheLabourparty, Comrades.
