7am work shifts and Serenade Radio.
Old before my time, but happy in my favourite tea drinking chair of choice.
The work pace soon picked up, and so did the tunes. I went back to the Dexy’s album for the mid-morning work rush, and then was in full Tapper Zuckie mode over luncheon.
A bizarre work Yammer conversation then took place; we are a global company. It is why as a team we are so… agile.
But it turns out that I share the lovely lido with a fellow member of the remote workforce.
Gosh.
Didn’t recognise her with her online clothes on, etc.
I wrapped up the Colne Radio crowd funder late afternoon. There’s been an awful lot of admin to pull together now that it has closed.
The tunes continued: Steep Pulse and Handsworth Revolution, and then I confess to having to put the headphones on for a nostalgic burst of Stars on 45.
LOVE that album. It was my introduction to the Beatles back in the day. I remember hearing the Fab Four for the first time *after* Stars on 45 and thinking who are these imposters?
I took a little time out early evening to set up a new Twitter list. It is simply called ‘friends.’ It felt like 2010.
I stopped reading my Twitter timeline a number of years ago now. Apologies - I just don’t have the time.
But I do dip in and out and catch up with certain friendly folk.
It’s not as though I’m following a mass of people. Most of my time spent on Twitter is spent sourcing news stories to be honest.
But I do miss the daily catch ups with the online and offline friends that Twitter once served a useful purpose for me.
And so I set up the private list. This is what Twitter was for me back in 2008. It was reassuring to see that my connections from eight or so years ago are still in place, both online and offline.
Some more work, a mad dash window clean, and then settling down for the England innings in the t20.
See ya Tuesday!
