Friday

I do LOVE a good election story to bash out for Buzz at 6am in the morning; I didn’t particularly like the result.

Let’s leave it at that, Comrades.

Far more rewarding was the lovely lido swim.

I picked up cramp in my little toe after the first length.

There are more painful place in which to pick up cramp.

I pressed on, and half a dozen or so lengths later I managed to lose the cramp.

The water was fast.

And so were my fellow swimmers.

Having lost my rubber armour and swimming hat for the summer season, I’ve calculated that I’ve also lost around 5 seconds on each 50 yard length.

All lanes were open on Friday morning - a rarity at the lido. It felt a little like the Golden Days of Brockwell once again.

I cycled off back through Brixton and a school day in Sunny Stockwell with a huge GRIN on my face.

The new school building is pretty much ready. I have every respect for the staff who have managed to teach for an entire year with a building site overlooking them.

I spent a large part of the day over at Papa’s Park on various PE activities. It’s a fantastic little community resource hidden away in Brixton.

The plan was for a lido double dip straight after school. But I managed to pick up some more work shifts back in the flat.

Friday evening was spent editing school content, and listening to @surreycricket in the t20.
