Thursday

The Thursday morning commute was spent in the company of Dexy’s Do Irish Country and Soul.

It is a STUNNING record, Comrades.

Less is more for Kev and the boys these days. Detail use to be everything when they were Searching for the Young Soul Rebels.

The new album is… sparse.

It is quite beautiful.

I had some photos to edit during the journey in, and then a brief ride on the Brompton down to SE17 at the other end.

I’ve got a full on school schedule coming up. The second half of the summer term is always manic in all the schools.

Job’s a good ‘un, though.

Too many highlights, but I did enjoy seeing how much progress has been made on the Year 6 play since the half term break.

We had another after school Journo Club come chucking out time. It’s getting a little panicky. The G&T kids have the ideas, but they have yet to deliver the stories.

We despatched them around the school to go on the hunt.

I was then despatched to take some photos of the school Management Team.

That was… tricky.

I stopped off to see Bob of Bob’s Bikes on the cycle out of SE17. I’m still on the hunt for another MTB. Bob reckons that he can see me right in the next couple of weeks.

A quick clean up back in the flat, and then I walked back up the Clap’ham Road for an evening at The Oval.

The ‘rrey had a fixture change and a t20 home match against Hampshire.

I stayed strangely sober.

I rather enjoyed myself.

C’mon the ‘rrey!
