Sunday

Work shifts for Sunday morning, with the sandwich filler of a Wifey Weekend Roll Out bicycle ride.

The work was steady. The fall out from the Champions League Final the night before seems to have calmed down.

Chapeau!

The roll out with Anna was shorter than we wanted, with more work shifts waiting back at base.

We picked up a VCR pal somewhere near [I never know where the chuff we are in bloody Essex to be honest.]

He rolled along with us for a couple of miles, helping to pick up the pace. We got dropped somewhere near Great Bentley.

Chapeau, fella!

Le Pave out towards Little Bromley was lovely. The poppies are in full bloom, and made for a stunning backdrop.

I put on my best RACE FACE and lived out my Le Tour fantasies.

The School Road Sprint segment in Elmstead was wind assisted. I picked up my second fastest time.

We made it back to base just in time for some more work.

Pay to play…

The afternoon really should have been spent out in the garden / at The Greyhound music and BOOZE fest.

But I had endless school work to catch up with. I edited and published all the content from SW9 and SE17.

I then did a little work with the Publisher. We’re experimenting with FB ads. I remain a little sceptical about the reach that FB claims a sponsored post can make.

I worked away with the Miiiiillwaaaaall match on. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Lions.

Is it even possible to have a ‘soft’ spot for Miiiiillwaaaaall?

I managed to down tools around 5pm.

Gardening, a shower and a shave soon followed.

And then we buggered off to Greystock - the Not May Fair event at The Greyhound.

It was a bit of a racket to be honest. What is it with bloody metal in this town?

We survived one pint, and then slipped out to the Black Buoy, via a Quayside stroll.

Weird Wiv, innit

Anna ordered a pint of water. At least I thought she did, until a pint of Porter turned up.

Good girl.

It was getting a little chilly, and so we ended up back at base for more booze, Test match highlights, and catching up with @surreycricket online.
