Up early for work, as well as to pack Anna off to South London.
I admit that SLUG WATCH at 6am was a little strange.
I had a mid-morning break for a swim. The Trail was heavy for the first time in a few weeks with the overnight estuary wilds rain.
B&Q remains ACE. I went off in search of a new shower curtain, en route for a swim. I shall miss the place once it has gone.
The swim was rubbish. I timed it all wrong with the aqua aerobics. I tried not to take on board too much water when I saw the slurry of plasters skimming across the basin of the pool.
“KEEP ON DOGGING!”
…came the over-enthusiastic instructions for the 65+ aqua aerobics in the adjacent lane.
I took this as my signal to leave.
A solid burst of work shifts followed. And then a half hour break to complete some Colne Radio filming.
We’re moving ever closer to the launch of the ambitious crowd funder appeal. I stated the importance of having an online video to help kick start the campaign.
It seems that I talked myself into the job.
I did a brief hit and run effort with a University journo fella, and then had to disappear swiftly for more work.
I was back on Colne Radio duty later in the evening. There was an informal meeting of the presenters in The Greyhound. I was asked along to snap away for some shots for the new website that Polom and I [Polom…] are putting together.
The weather was perfect with a late evening sun. Local DJ’s in dire overhead conditions doesn’t exactly give you a positive impression.
Mule was pleasantly agreeable. He’s a decent chap underneath all of that bluster.
We took advantage of the sunlight and shot a few more videos for the crowd funder. I then had a sit down with Mss Colne Radio Head Girl outside the Quay to talk about the crowd funder.
I agreed to sign up on the social media whore dotted line.
F-it. You have to give it a go. Literally nothing to lose.
June is going to be a bit mad.
