Morning watering duties for the estuary wilds plants.
Whilst Anna is away playing in South London, I am left on Courgette Duty.
And woh.
They are WHOPPERS!
My week away in Sunny Stockwell has seen the limp stems ERUPT to become something much more substantial. I felt a little inadequate as I ponced around in my PJ’s first thing with the watering jug.
The Postman Delivers: More bloody plants.
Whenever I am in South London, Anna takes it upon herself to ship in as much green as possible. She then buggers off, and my task is to try and kill it all off.
Not quite.
Gawd knows what was in the box from the Postie. I unpacked it all, potted it, and then watered.
It looks like garden weeds to be honest.
The work shifts were of the stop / start variety. It’s the way I like it as I get to catch up on other projects in-between.
Having sat through the heavyweight bloody #gardenbridge meeting on Monday evening, Wednesday morning was all about blogging about… Balkerne Bridge back in Sunny Colch.
I published the #PeakWisteria pics on m’photoblog - just in time as well, seeing as the though the estuary wilds rain on Wednesday has already started to wash the blossom away.
And then a Buzz story that shows some of the cracks in the ‘community led’ Somerleyton project.
I tried to finish off the SE21 school site content. But I simply ran out of time.
Gilles Peterson kept me company for most of the morning. He uncovered a quite incredible Pixies cover.
For some reason it reminds me of the Golden Days of the lido, sometime around ’97 - 2000. This is the kind of ambience that defined those lost summer days spent down by the waters of Lake Brockwell.
I followed this with a blasting out of Doolittle.
Apologies, lovely neighbours.
More work, which required jumping through five different browsers with different logins.
I got a little lost 🙁
I finally managed to then listen to the Novara recording from this week. This is a group that is at the top of its game. It has become essential weekly listening.
I resolved to finish off the SE21 school site in the evening. But then the Liverpool match and BOOZE got in the way.
Whoops.
Tell It Like It Is, Jase, etc.
