Sunday

Another GLORIOUS Brockwell blue to start Sunday morning.

The lovely lido was simply stunning shortly before 9am. The dancing fairies were back once again on the basin of the pool.

I was inspired to put in another 20 length weekend effort. I had the lane to myself for most of the swim.

Despite a water temperature of a balmy 18 degrees, I started to feel slightly chilled with four lengths remaining.

Maybe it’s not yet time to ditch the swimming hat for the summer season ahead.

I warmed up slightly in the new lido sauna. Positioning it so that there is a full poolside view from the cabin window is well thought out.

I cycled back through Brixton, and then navigated for the first time the new Sunny Stockwell gyratory.

What a bloody mess.

I know that it is far from finished, plus the partial opening itself is something of a rush job.

I only hope that it beds itself down, once the shared space becomes available for cyclists and pedestrians.

It looks NOTHING like this, natch.

Looking far better was yer man Ruiz Tizon.

I was locking the bicycle up outside the flat, when I noticed @1607WestEgg strolling down South Lambeth Road.

Despite many online connections and communications, we have never actually met.

With so many Sunny Stockwell references, it was only going to be a matter of time.

From what I thought might be a brief hello, how are you… soon turned into a 15 minute doorstep conversation.

And very charming it was too.

It made me fashionably late for the ‘rrey and the London derby at The Oval.

The Nu Peter May Stand was pretty spectacular. I love the way that the club have built something new, yet somehow managed to maintain the cultural legacy [PISS HEAD SUN TERRACE] of the old.

On the piss in the Peter May

Predictably the remainder of Sunday was lost in a most splendid alcoholic haze.

W*****ed and sunburnt before the tea interval.

Way to go, Jase. Way to go.

Chin chin.
