Saturday

SEXY language with Rasheed, my Brixton barber man underneath the Academy to start off Saturday morning.

Mr Rashid was speaking in his Turkish accent as he did the No.1 all over for me. It was rather arousing at 7:30am on a Saturday.

I explained the status of my current French tuition. I let it slip that it was all a foil to sound more SEXY.

Mr Rasheed told me a thing or two about his Mother tongue and his current carnal activities.

I have resolved to abandon my French lessons.

Brockwell Park Run, innit

I arrived at the Brockwell Park Run in good time. This is a rarity. I actually got to hear the pre-run prep talk for once.

Everything just felt right; my fitness levels, my BOOZE free clear head, and even my new running shoes which have taken a bit of breaking in.

‘ere we go: PERSONAL BEST.

I whispered this to myself at the start. I repeated the high spirited remarks as I climbed Cressingham Hill for the first time with ease.

BMX Hill was a bloody doddle. The second climbing of Cressingham was better than the first.

And whaddya know:

THIS is what a PB looks like, ladeees.

Oh dear

For the record, the official time was 21:36 - 35 seconds faster than my previous FREAK Brockwell PB, and 17 seconds ahead of the Sunny Colch PB.

I celebrated by trying out my French on one of the females who finished ahead of me.

Whoops.

It was cold shower time.

Or more like cold swim time.

But the lovely lido has now entered the summer season. The waters of Lake Brockwell were just above 18 degrees to start the weekend.

It felt ACE.

I managed 20 lengths in the medium lane, just ahead of the Tri Boys and Girls arriving for their weekly rubber splash.

I had time for the sauna afterwards.

It was very friendly in there…

A quick cycle back to Sunny Stockwell, and then it was all about the domestics and clearing the deck ahead of a day on the piss with @surreycricket tomorrow.

My hedge was pruned.

Chainsaws: F-YEAH.

I tidied up the rest of the garden, cleaned the windows, and then a full on flat housework.

It better be bloody worth it with on the piss with the ‘rrey tomorrow morning.

I finished off editing and publishing the school content gathered in SW9 yesterday.

And then the shout went out of:

“To the Globe!”

It was my first Bankside visit of the new season. The Shrew was being Tamed down at the Wooden ‘O’.

I took the opportunity of sneaking in a bottle of Anna’s Lidl red.

I didn’t haven’t the chuffers what was going on after the first large glass.
