Thursday

A BONKERS Thursday that had me running my arse around South London, trying to cover probably a little too much.

It got off to a half-decent start with a Wiv Indies political Group meeting on the train.

Arf.

I say Group meeting - we are anything but tribal. We travel second class on Greater Anglia, dahhhlings.

A quick cycle across the river, and then I was down in SE17 for a busy school day ahead.

I walked straight into Year 6 SATS weeks coming to a close.

Brave students.

This is one of the best times in the school calendar. The students are more or less ready for secondary school; their learning is complete. The next few weeks are all about working together for one final time on the school play.

And then straight out of Year 6, and into the Nursery to see some chicks.

Steady…

The lovely Nursery children have been looking after some eggs in an incubator. All 14 chicks hatched in the morning. It really was quite beautiful.

I had something of a tear in my eye. I tried to blame it on Boy Y stepping on my cherry red loafers.

Tidy, Jase. Tidy.

This was my first work occasion with the new / old camera.

It was a little clunky to be honest. The f717 fires up much quicker than the ‘superior’ f828. I found the lens a little inflexible as well.

The quality of the images leads to a slightly sharper appearance. I’ll stick with it.

We had another Journo Club with the G&T kids after school. I was asked to lead the session. I am crap at this.

It was alright though. We spoke about the 5 W’s, and then had some role play interviews set up.

I think that I was out-scooped with my quote.

Some visiting Russian architects then walked in.

As you would.

The Journo kids were all over them with their questions.

Smart lot.

A cycle back to Sunny Stockwell, and then an evening of work shifts in the flat.

The lavender garden had bloomed brilliantly since I was last here.

I need to trim my curly things over the weekend.

Some copy came in from the publisher that I am working with over the next month. I need to get my head around martial arts - ASAP.

Help!
