In Wisteria News: It’s budding.

Wisteria, innit

The snow over the past couple of days doesn’t seem to have scared off my lovely wisteria. I feel a personal fraud for having hibernated over the past 24 hours.

I wandered down the garden and dared to look at the raspberry canes as well.

And so it begins.

Oh Lordy.

The leaves are starting to form; the flowers will be next.

And then we will have a summer of over-dosing on raspberries for breakfast every morning.

Anna was even foolish enough to buy some autumn raspberry plants last week. I think that she appreciate raspberries in the same way that I appreciate a cheeky can of Fosters in the garden shed.

Out on the Trail and it was a Big #Essex Skies day.

Bloody blustery as well.

The lawn outside the pool was having its first mowing of the season.

Mine meanwhile has gone to seed - quite literally.

The swim was tidal. I was sucked in around the pool with the roly poly aquatic ladies doing their best to shift large volumes of water.

West Ham Wanker commented to me in the showers about “porno buzz” in the pool.

I tried to put some distance between myself and Mr Wanker, and then realised that he was banging on about a “hormonal buzz” whilst in the water.

Please don’t talk to me whenever I am at the pool or lido. My ears fill with water and I go completely deaf.

I booked some tickets for the new season at The Globe mid-morning. I still can’t quite believe that groundlings gain entry to the Wooden ‘O’ for a grubby fiver.

I’ve lined up The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the Scottish Play over the coming months.

Work was a bit of a *deep breath* moment.

There was a major switch to a new online tool for one of my clients.

I have a love / hate relationship with the tech. The modern interweb is truly amazing; but as soon as you master one way of working, the tools change and you start all over again.

The afternoon slipped into the evening, and then some work training. The brief from the client in terms of copy isn’t too different from what I do in the day job back in schools…

I caught the close of the 5Live piece on Hillsborough just before bedtime. Not much else to say, except that Dalglish has got it spot on.

I remember every detail from that day 🙁
