I was up very early on Friday morning. The work shifts started at 8am, and I was determined to get a swim in first.
What I didn’t counter for was still trying to get my head around Prince 🙁
My cricket piece was published by Deserter first thing as well. I’m fairly pleased with it. I come across as a cricketing alcoholic.

I didn’t have much time to arse about on the Trail for the bike ride to the pool. A brief Instagram snap, and then I was eyeballed by a squirrel.
OH HAI, fella.
The pool had a perfume ponce splashing about. It wasn’t West Ham Wanker, either.
Perfume and make up are an absolute etiquette faux pas when it comes to the pool. That’s what the showers are for before you dive in, Madam.
Late Junction from the night before was a nice mid-morning surprise, with a head nod to Prince.
It’s not exactly LJ territory; but yer man summed up the LJ experimentation ethos.
The full version of Controversy sounded ACE being blasted out during the 9am work shift.
I remember a long lost conversation once with @kiltedsplendour.
His theory on Prince songs is:
Man wants sex.
Man flirts and has sex.
Man then feels guilty and asks God for forgiveness.
Man is happy - Man has sex AND God.
Way to go, Kid.
@RobertElms continued with the Prince theme as the four-fer. Three of the tracks rightfully came from Sign ‘O’ Times - an absolute masterpiece.
Two tracks into @RobertElms #Prince four-fer, both from Sign 'O' Times. Stunning. Film still best live concert movie.

Work progressed. I even found the time to vote.
WOH - that was a bloody tough choice - and not for the right reasons, either.

Work, work and work training.
New tools ahoy next week!
I took part in some online tuition. I think that I just about kept up.
And then it was all about Purple Rain etc.
How many times have we watched this?
Not as many times as Withnail…
I can still remember my first screening at the Royal Concert Hall back in the Fair City.
I came out a transformed boy / man.
Quite literally with the first experimentations in make up and turned up collars.
It was a little more relaxed for Friday evening with Anna. I had my trackies on and necked four tinnies of Fosters.
Chin chin, my purple friend.
