Tuesday

Firefighting on the 7am work shift.

I wasn’t expecting it to be so busy over breakfast.

Anna did her South London disappearing act. The mad cat wasn’t much help in helping to douse the online flames.

It was GLORIOUS though, sitting in my tea slurping chair of choice, and the estuary wilds sun steaming in on my face.

GOLDEN DAYS.

I think?

I had an escape from work mid-morning. I headed out for a swim, taking in the route of the new cycle path.

Yes it has been a political mess, not too mention a questionable budget.

But it is bloody brilliant.

BIG #ESSEX SKIES

It would have been even better if it was segregated from pedestrians, but to achieve a feat of cycling infrastructure out in the ‘challenging’ estuary wilds, is nothing short of spectacular.

I cycled back along the Trail…

Bloody cyclists.

The swim itself was painful. My body is aching after a week of running around South London. I am in need of recuperation.

The mad cat has no such concerns. She greeted me back at base with an attention seeking roll on the garden table.

The rest of the day was spent with stop / start work shifts, some gardening, and then editing content from SE21 yesterday.

I had plans to escape on the road bike, but this never happened.

Instead more work, bits of the Newcastle Vs Man City match and French lessons.

Apparently I am now 20% fluent in French.

Connerie.
