Sunday

A stunning lovely lido swim to start off Sunday.

It was brilliant Brockwell blue, with the magic water fairies once again dancing along the basin of the lido.

I somehow became stuck in the rubber lane, with wetsuit boys and girls top and tailing me.

Under any other circumstance and this would be a right bloody pain in the arse.

But it is simply impossible to experience any other sense than one of pure joy on such a beautiful Brockwell blue day.

Ok, I admit I felt slightly annoyed that my planned 20 lengths were cut short to 12, but I still came out the other end grinning.

I gave the South Lambeth Road garden a bit of a tidy up when I got back. I’m still finding hidden treasure buried away underneath the layers of crap that I cut back two years ago.

The find for Sunday morning was an old bicycle light. It exploded in my hands, such was the fragility. It was hardly an Antiques Roadshow moment.

The domestics continued. I moved indoors and carried out some more bloody chores around the flat. We’ll finally finish off the ‘restoration’ one of these days.

Mid-afternoon and I buggered off out east. The London Lions were at home to the L******er Riders, in the final regular game of the BBL season.

It wasn’t the most exciting basketball game that I have been to, but the away team did at least attempt a comeback in the final quarter.

I had time to spare come the final buzzer. I set off exploring the QEOP, camera in hand.

QEOP, innit

I still can’t get my bearings around the place. The Olympic Stadium of course remains central, but I can’t quite piece together where everything else was back in the summer of 2012.

Somewhere deep in my photo archive and I’ve actually got images of Stratford and beyond pre-regeneration. This will just confuse me further.

I had some school work to catch up with in the evening, ahead of the working week tomorrow.

Hoping for more Brockwell blue in the morning.
