A muddy dash along the Trail first thing on Thursday.
I’ve always taken the view that like shaving, bicycle cleaning is a waste of time.

A few Sunny Colch snaps later, and then I was water bound.
It was my first time back in the pool for five days, following the very mild bout of Easter man flu.
I didn’t have time to arse about, and so put in a no nonsense 30 length power swim.
It felt bloody good - a lane to myself as well.
Back at base and it was the winding down of a particular favourite work client. I shall miss the little fella that I have somehow crept into the online social mind of for the past nine months.
I bashed out a Chronic blog post over luncheon: Snog, Marry or Elect a Tory.
Now wash your hands, please.
A mad spring clean of the garden followed. Talk about nipping it in the bud.
I don’t really like clipping back all of the new spring growth that is sprouting; but let the bloody Ivy get on top of you and that’s your summer months finished off.
IVY MUST DIE.
It did, right in my back garden this afternoon.
I am very good at hacking ‘things’ back. I am also very good at stepping in not very well hidden cat shit.
Bad girl.
A triplet of spiky things have grown from the original spiky thing that we HACKED some five winters ago.
The spiky thing is a resilient spiky thing.
The daffs needed to be de-headed. My sadness was overcome by the company of Robbin for the afternoon, continually keeping watch on my activities.
Yeah - I’ve become a bloody hippie.
I managed to catch the Windies innings in the t20 semi.
Cricket. Bloody hell, etc.
Can’t chuffing wait for Sunday now.
The early evening estuary wilds sun was too DELICIOUS to resist. Sunshine and showers all day, but then a bright setting sun - perfect photography conditions.
I went out on a brief hack down to Ferry Marsh with the camera.
It was GORGEOUS out there.
I poked my lens around at a few bits of nature. I have absolutely no idea what these things were.
Er, what is this please @chrismothman1? #Wivenhoe pic.twitter.com/pNJFwY88lv

Another work shift followed, and then Thursday night was all about DARTS.
