Friday

Early work, and no window for a swim.

Hey hoe.

The mad cat more than made up for my lack of aquatic action. She has taken to the bath once again.

Odd.

Fresh drinking water is of course offered up daily.

But every now and then she fancies playing around in an empty bath, and then requests a dripping tap.

This was all fine until we got the water metre installed.

I gave her a minute or so of drip, drop fun on Friday, and then turned on the power shower at full blast.

Only joking.

The four-fer with Robert Ems was charming - music for St Patrick’s Day.

I’m no plastic Paddy, with absolutely no known connections to the country.

But a bit of Van mid-morning to break up the work sounded wonderful.

Plus a Rainy Night in Soho - if it wasn’t for Waterloo Sunset then this would be OUR anthem, Comrades.

Speaking of which, the new Dexy’s trailer got me more than a little OOOH.

I played a round a little over the luncheon period with GIMP. I’ve been using some basic scripts to enhance work images. But they still look a little flat.

GIMP is a beast. Not for the faint-hearted. I sadly had to give up with my script fiddlings after half an hour.

I had a little more success with my French lesson for Friday.

We’ve got onto BOOZE.

Chin chin.

The Friday afternoon run of work shifts had Buddy Holly as the soundtrack.

Blimey, etc.

I’ve no idea where that came from, but it seemed to fit the mood.

And then Friday evening kinda drifted.

There were plans to watch Wivenhoe Town. But it was just too bloody cold for the fair weather fan.

I half watched ‘Boro Vs Hull, with my head buried in a bloody Lambeth Council Cabinet report.

Anna messaged me from Italy with wild tales of apres ski.

I have absolutely no idea what this means.

I went to bed.
