Wednesday

A not so #SUNNYCOLCH to start off Wednesday.

Mr BBC Weather told fanciful online tales of blue skies. The ride to the pool along the trail was pretty overcast.

Not so #SUNNYCOLCH, innit

I was knackered to be honest. I should have been back in bed and not swimming.

But a work at home day ahead would have meant no escape from the house. That’s not good.

And so 30 lengths, and a charming chat with Archie. We shared stories of sporting endeavours as Herculean youth.

Archie then got on to his army background. I volunteered that I was once a Cub Scout.

We went our separate ways.

A steady working day across three clients. I had a break from the scheduled shifts, and took the opportunity to flick the switch on school site #2.

I tried to take in some of the Budget detail. I gave up, and blasted out some Tappa Zukie instead.

I disappeared to Colchester early evening for the CBC Cabinet meeting.

You FOOL!

The walk from St Botolph’s to the train station put me in good spirits when I saw a fella sitting in a barber’s chair having a flattop.

ACE.

Back in the day and it was my barber instructions of choice. Sadly my hair is even beyond the finer details of a flattop comb.

The Cabinet meeting itself was lively, and longer than expected.

Jittery political types were posturing ahead of the all out local elections in May.

Come the off the record wee wee break, political rivalries were put aside and some half decent conversations took place.

Politics is b0rked.

I arrived back at base and pondered blogging it for The Chronic.

Bugger that.

Bed.
