Shocked that Colchester’s finest local papers don’t do council meetings. Have you checked how many staff they actually have left?
In the past, every local or regional newspaper or radio station had a network of - and budget for - stringers, hacks who provided news leads, court reports and council info.
As you suggest: in this digital age, it is not beyond the wit of man through honest linking , and some payments, to utilise hyperlocals in such a way.
Or another way: a group of hyperlocals might band together to market their material to MSM…
