“Why London is unquestionably the punk capital of the world…”
Or more precisely, Hoxton.
Well I never.
The 2013 London Punk Rock Record Fair at The Macbeth looks half-decent. Scratch away beneath the veneer of a corporate identikit globalised city, and you can still see the spirt of Punk Rock Warlords gloriously living the dream.
On a Transpontine level and The Grosevnor in Sunny Stockwell has a cracking regular line-up of punk bands. The old school boozer walks it like it talks with the politicisation of punk.
Like New Wave Never Happened.
