Album of the Day: Amy Winehouse - Frank

I’m not really sure what to say about Frank. I know I’m suppose to love it. But it almost passed me by in the way that listening to Serenade Radio does. The voice is of course superb. But the songs aren’t quite there. Fuck Me Pumps made me smile. I’d love to hear that on Serenade Radio at 7am.

“It’s quite something when you have a LibDem local administration that is WAY to the left of a national Labour government”

Core WordPress updates were installed overnight. This led to a flurry of requests first thing saying that I needed to update various themes manually.

3-2-1.

Press UPDATE.

What’s the worst thing that can happen?

Phew. Got away with it. Again.

I’m getting far too old for the modern interweb.

More enjoyable was renewing my Wivenhoe Town season ticket. The price has been frozen. There’s even a discount for renewals. PL take note.

I fear that I will never own a Forest season ticket again. I fear that I will never be able to afford a Forest season ticket again.

Luncheon came. Time for a bicycle ride.

Chapeau!

I pumped up the pressure in the roadie and rolled out wearing yellow.

LIVE the dream, Jase.

My electric dreams were still with me. I reached for assist mode when I hit Tenpenny Hill. Oh. That’s not there. Time to dance on the pedals.

A lone tourer passed me. He looked the part with an old school physical map on his handlebars. It was the opposite of my riding style. I was clearly going for the Most Aggressive Rider of the Day jersey.

It paid off. I was 15 minutes faster on the roadie for this route when compared to the Raleigh electric. It was also my fastest completion of this circuit.

R pinged. There’s a new Death Is Not the End reggae drop. This time it’s Soundsystems at Notting Hill Carnival, 1984-1988. It’s bloody brilliant.

Out went the shout of: To the City Council! …early evening.

Do I really have to?

Erm…

The occasion was the final Full Council meeting ahead of the summer break. I cycled through the Moors. There was an incredibly strong smell of weed.

The meeting was meh. I confess to becoming very bored, very early on. I stuck with it for three and a half hours. I bailed with one agenda item remaining.

I was the only person in the public gallery once Have Your Say had finished. I’m not sure if The Gazette showed up in the press section.

It’s important to capture on record what is happening here. The official Minutes don’t even tell half the story.

But I’m leaning towards I really can’t be arsed. I’m not a young man any more. I enjoy staying in, talking shit with the cats and drinking BOOZE.

Decisions.
