Buzzed: Second by-election set for Streatham Common and Vale as another Lambeth Labour Councillor resigns in the ward

“There’s been no explanation from the usually bullish Lambeth Labour why another of its Councillors has resigned, only two years into a four year term”

Some reviews started to appear overnight for The Globe’s Taming of the Shrew that I walked out of a couple of weeks ago.

Christ, it was shite.

That’s not going to win any awards when it comes to theatrical criticism. But’s rare that I walk.

I feel for the actors, and to an extent, the production staff. But how this ever made it to the professional stage I don’t know.

The ES was spot on for once:

I sympathised most with Teixeira’s line when she steps out of Katherina’s character and back into the persona of an audience member caught up in a nightmare: “Can we stop!”

The pair of Lidl lemon trees were placed outside as the mid-morning Estuary Wilds sun made an appearance. They’ve both visibly grown in the past week.

I wake up each morning, asking: where are my bloody lemons, you BASTARDS?

I don’t actually like lemons.

The lunchtime swim was decent. I had to wait a few minutes in the spa before a lane was free.

My body felt fighting fit. I had no goggle issues, as was the case yesterday. I pressed on for a full on km. I felt strong.

Croatia Vs Albania was fun late afternoon. So far it seems that the most unlikely fixtures in the Euros have produced the best games.

To the Table of Dreams!

…early evening.

This was one hell of a wind assisted game. We both took the piss, waiting for a gust, and then limply serving. I still lost 4-2.

A brief Coop trip followed. This was EXTREME #GypoJase shopping. I felt for the young dude on the checkout struggling to scan pile after pile of yellow reduced stickers.
