Album of the Day: Fleetwood Mac - Rumours

I’d rather Jack. But seriously. It’s pretty lush from start to finish.

Sleaford fucking Mods emailed: Divide and Exit is 10 years old.

Shit. How dod that happen?

Iggy joins the party over here.

I was given ChatGPT 4 access to play around with.

‘ere we go…

My new fave tool can now read urls. SO many possibilities, so many short cuts. It still struggles with images, mind.

I had a brief eBay burst, listing some more unwanted vinyl recently found in the loft: a Power Station 12″ promo with a pic, an Adam Ant white label 12″ and erm, a couple of Break Machine 12’s.

No action as yet.

I was free mid-afternoon for a bicycle ride. I wanted to stay local, but fancied a new route. I reached for Strava and snaffled up one of the ever reliable routes as ridden by C.

It was roughly a circuit out to Manningtree and back. The Estuary Wilds lanes are starting to show poppy spurts. The air smelt of summer.

This was ruined for a short moment as a Petrol Head twat put in a shocking close pass. I looked up to see that it was a Driving Instructor Car.

I was prepared to let this one go and put it down to a learner. I then realised that there was no learner in the car.

Some people.

Signs for the Ride Ldn event taking place around these parts on Friday were everywhere. I rode pretty much the same circuit as the pro-women.

This included Dead Lane. It’s a short back lane that would struggle to take a peloton at the best of times. Currently it’s characterised by rubble and potholes. Plus some mud that still hasn’t dried out.

Chapeau, ladies!

There were a couple of steep climbs to complete. Dancing on my pedals is my fave form of cycling. I’ve missed this after a winter of riding electric.

The BBC Nottingham Forest catch up saw me into Monday evening. There was a detailed look back at the shit show of a season, plus some optimism for what is to come. The fixture list is out in a month…

Chelsea RHS was as spectacular as ever. The BBC gives it the full Glasto treatment. I actually prefer Chelsea week over the Glasto weekend these days.

CREAMING it ahead of the medals being dished out in the morning.
