Album of the Day: Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion

This album starts strongly. There’s a tremendous amount of energy. It more like a collection of anthems than songs. Yet there is a strange Eno under current influence that carries it all. It was a pleasant surprise. It made me want to dance - never a good thing. I was sad when the album finished. It left me wanting more. And so I bought a copy.

Buzzed: Lambeth Council set to spend an extra £1m on refurbishment at Central Hill as estate ‘regeneration’ slips off the agenda

“The report is brutal and honest in its assessment of how the Council has allowed Central Hill in Norwood to be run down”

“The plan is for this space to be managed by Community360, a charity that has hit the headlines itself recently”

A school day in SW9. It was pissing it down in S Ldn. I delayed leaving the flat as long as I could. But the rain only got heavier.

Hurrah for golf umbrellas.

I think?

There was a number of brave cyclists sploshing up and down Stockwell Road. No ta. That’s not for me.

A particular chapeau though for the young Mum and her kid on an electric cargo bicycle doing a very wet school run.

The school day was pretty routine - which helps me come to terms with the decision to move on that I made a couple of months ago.

School Council, stunning Year 13 art and making some banana bread were the highlights.

Boy Y showed me his tattoos late in the afternoon. They were biro scribbles on his hands.

I rolled up my sleeves and gave Boy Y the shock of his life. He couldn’t comprehend that my tattoos are better than his.

You’ll miss it when it’s gone, Jase

Possibly.

And they’ll miss you too…

My watched pinged with a Lidl notification as I was leaving at the end of the day: a FREE item from the bakery.

It would be rude not to, right?

The Sunny Stockwell Lidl was a bit of a bun fight, so to speak, with other tight arse folk like me scrambling for the Thursday coupon freebies.

I had some GP catching up throughout the evening. Yer man dropped Stevie’s Lookin’ for Another Pure Love. This is fast becoming my fave Stevie track.

Bloody S Ldn rain, btw.
