Album of the Day: Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks

It’s all about the songwriting. Bob delivers, with a little bit more as well. That voice is acquired listening. Somehow he stretches into showing signs of a soulful delivery. He changes direction completely on Idiot Wind. Blimey. Bob doesn’t half belt this one out. It’s like a drunken barroom delivery. It’s a bloody great break up album.

Attention then switched to The Meffs. Sunny Colch does nu punk VERY well. The two EP’s from Colchester’s finest kicked the shit out of Thursday morning.

The Postman Delivers: Weller’s Jawbone soundtrack on CD. It was box fresh, wrapped and sealed. I wasn’t expecting that.

The Postman Also Delivers: two pairs of black and white chequered socks.

ALWAYS live up to your stereotype, Jase.

Surrey mailed, confirming Membership for another season. The email skimmed over Membership details, preferring instead to try and flog me Surrey merch and Test match tickets.

All I want to do is sit in the S Ldn sun in peace and quiet and drink BOOZE.

I was free for another lunchtime ride. There was a beautiful, brilliant blue Estuary Wilds sky. It was the type of day where all I want to do is to ride my bicycle.

My radar was set for dry roads. I cycled past a farm. A Shetland pony was laid out on the grass.

Oh.

I thought the wee fella was no longer with us.

I actually pulled over and approached the farm house to alert the farmer. The little pony fella then did a roll. He was sunbathing, innit.

Whoops.

A little further along the Tendring lane and the markings were out in the field for a new housing development. This is a little depressing.

The views are perfect - especially if you like looking out each morning at a FUCK OFF Turnip Mountain.

The lanes were wonderfully quiet for a lunchtime ride. I only had to raise my finger once at a close pass dick.

Afternoon emails included the Lidl coupon delights. It was disappointing to see that I’m being targeted for a Lidl middle aisle sewing machine.

Transfer Deadline Day then took over. I confess to being a little obsessed by this.

I watched a load of Forest Fan TV vids previewing and updating. The live Forest Focus stream occupied me through until the closing of the window.

Forest are a funny old club. And not in a ha, bloody ha way either.
