Bass, keyboard and razor blade guitars. Plus some fella called Hugh. This is an incredibly accomplished debut album. It was also highly influential. OH HAI Elastica. I Loved Go Buddy Go and the boogie woogie sound for the extra track.

Another Forest Focus podcast to start Wednesday morning. PSR was on the agenda. You don’t say.
I liked the point made that Forest have been hit harder as they have had no PL parachute payment. The decks are stacked against the newly promoted clubs who have no PL experience.
My feeds also threw up yet another new Forest podcast, with Garibaldi Gazette. Nick Miller from The Athletic and the old Two Stars podcast is behind it.
I’m sure it’s half decent. But there is only so much time in the day. I need to tame my listening habits. More music, fewer Forest podcasts please.
A made some amazing soup for luncheon. It was the usual hit and miss effort of chucking all the leftover veg into a bowl, boiling it up, and then NUKING it with the clever nuking tool.
I suspect she slipped in all sorts of seasoning shit to disguise what would otherwise would have been a Turnip Surprise.
There is no surprise with a turnip.
The Oven Man rocked up mid-afternoon, bang on time. The Oven Man then buggered off to Clacton to pick up a new oven.

The old dear has done us good. We’ve had thirteen years service of heating up reduced price pizzas from her. Gawd knows how long the previous occupants enjoyed the same.
Oven Man was very impressive. He knew his stuff. He also talked A out of buying a poncey over-priced branded model. I’m sure the Lidl orange sticker pizzas won’t mind.
A decent read on folding bicycles appeared in road.cc. It was pleasing to see the B’Twin Tilt 900 appear in the top 5. I love my B’Twin. It rides better than the Brompton.
I had a mad scramble late afternoon booking off holiday time. I’ve got a ridiculous amount to use up before the end of the financial year. Use it, lose it etc.
Wednesday ended in the same way that it started: Forest.
Fuck.
We shouldn’t be scrambling around on a Wednesday night against a Third Division side up in Blackppol.
