I have a Hotmail account. Yep, I was an early adopter.
It’s easier to leave it up and running than turn it off. I use it mainly for old platforms such as ebay. It does its job.
Or so I thought.
I had a quick look first thing on Friday at the Junk folder.
Hang on. That shouldn’t be in there. And neither should that. Blimey. That’s a very important email that deserved my attention a couple of days ago.
Whoops.
BLOGGED: Active Travel Helps to Focus New City Centre Masterplan
“The report emphasises that full pedestrianisation of the High Street isn’t part of the current plans”
Album of the Day: The Associates - Sulk
This album doesn’t hang together as a whole. It’s all the better for it. Sulk is bonkers, with grand, sweeping gestures. It’s more like a musical than a pop record. There’s no direction from start to finish. I like to get lost in music. Billy was one of the last great pop pantomime Dames. Party Fears Two: Song of the Century.
“In better news for residents, the heating and hot water charge is expected to fall by £25.11 per week on average”
I played the Gallagher Squire track.
Meh.
It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. It sounds more like a duel than a collaboration. Ultimately its the guitar than wins out over the vocals.
The Morning Star had a great piece on the forthcoming Resistance Street film.
“A story about jazz, a story about punk, a story about reggae.”

My Strava stats for December dropped. In total I had 23 hours of activity, up eight on the previous month; I clocked up 180 km, up 109.
The recuperation continues…
We were expecting an appearance from the window fitter man to correct a few faults. He bailed.
Hey hoe.
I wasn’t expecting Luke Williams to leave Notts and head to Swansea. I’ve been out of the Pies loop for the past few days, totally consumed by all things Forest. It looks like I was the only person not to know this was likely.
What next?
Warnock? Cooper?
To the allotments!
LIVE the dream, etc.
We’ve haven’t walked around this top half of the town for a couple of years. The race conditions were soft to heavy, leaning particularly on the heavy.
I lie.
They were a bloody bog. At times we were wellie deep in shit.
Some detours were needed. This led to some new trails being explored. There wasn’t a great deal to see, tbh.
The highlight was playing a game of Lake or Flood?
Is it a lake? Or is it a flood?
Oh the excitement.
Friday evening was spent with more #lolspurs FA Cup action.
