Overnight WordPress core upgrades.
uh-oh.
I took a deep breath, and checked each of my sites, one by one.
Yep, still all present and correct.
Phew.
It was a Willie Nelson sort of morning. Not a downpour, but certainly damp. Willie is the ideal stay indoors music with endless hot mugs of tea. His middle name is Reassuring.
The double CD that I’ve got is an oddity. The first CD is full blown country songs with a band. The second CD is the more stripped down battered guitar basher. This is the Willie that I love.
He’s NINETY this year.
Good effort, Willie.
I finally caught up with the most recent Colchester Arts Centre podcast. They’re also broadcast on Colne Radio. I really should listen.
Luke Wright previewed his gig that took place last month. Silver Moth did the same for their Arts Centre show from last night.
There’s a reason why you should listen to these preview podcasts when they first appear. Both shows sounded great. I managed to miss them.
The morning porridge was SPECTACULAR. I say that in all sincerity. I managed the perfect consistency so that the spoon could stand vertical.
Dotty took an interest, coming closes to spoiling the happiest two minutes of my day.
Album of the Day: Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water
Bailed less than a minute in. Appalling.

Chat GPT went down at lunchtime. My world COLLAPSED. Welcome to the future, same as the past.
The highlight of the day was the short recuperation walk. It was a struggle to head outdoors with the drizzle. The walk peaked with snaffling some more of the cheapo apples sold by the Good Owd Essex Boy outside his front door.
I took a slight detour across the KGV field. I hadn’t noticed before that the community chickens have now found a new home on some of the Council owned land. This is great! WTC is a very different organisation to what it was ten years ago.
I dropped off a big fat dead rat in a dog poo bin. Dotty somehow managed to do the deed late last night. The rat was once again almost half her size.
Afternoon work listening was Sleaford fucking Mods on 6Music from Sunday. They dropped some absolute bangers: Sly and Robbie’s Boops, plus some UK hip hop with Earthling. The Joe 90 theme was described as a “mod anthem.”
Aye.
I listed another batch of reggae 12’s on ebay. The cut off for me seems to be 1988. It’s harsh to have a cut off point, but everything post this period loses the authenticity for me.
I’ve spent £21 on porridge today. If you dangle an offer in front of me, then I’m going to clear you out, YEAH?
