And so I've been busy making maps again. This has been my mini-summer project for '07. You may remember that I did something similar two summers ago, working alongside the lovely Stockwell Partnership people.
This year I've scaled it down slightly. Geo-tagging has developed considerably since my last effort [slow loader], but I still didn't fancy spending an entire month fiddling around with longitude and latitude, and then converting it into a very user un-friendly interface.

flikr has developed a 'one stop shop' (urghhhh!) for geo-tagging since my last attempt to capture the area. It's not very flexible, but the drag and drop ease of adding your images does the job.
The photos were shot on one glorious SW8 sunshine morning last week. I walked around the Triangle at normal pace, barely pausing to capture a shot. Some images worked, some didn't. Those in-between just fill a gap on the map.
I wanted to try and capture the ever-changing area. The SW8 Triangle has moved on since 2005, even if the Met Police are still stalling over their responsibilities.
With a predominantly Porto flavour still populating most of the area, Polish and Columbian enclaves are also starting to spring up. Vest Man remains a constant.
Feel free to have the usual play around, zooming in and clicking on the images. In true Charlie and the Chocolate Factory style, there is a hidden clue linked somewhere on the map that will lead to a pleasant surprise for the first person to find it.
I remain rather proud of the first SW8 map, and I'm quite pleased that it's not actually broken yet. The sequel is so so. To complete the trilogy in a couple of years may even involve a different location altogether.
