A brief hack along the Estuary Wilds to road test the Richo GX100. The model is now 15 years old. It was lost for 13 years as part of a house move that went wrong.
Whoops.
I swatted up reading the old school manual. Most of it was filed away under irrelevant. If in doubt, point, shoot - which has to be the starting point for any compact.
I picked the perfect weather for the road test. There was blue estuary skies and some long shadows.
It soon became clear that the GX100 is great at wide angle action, not so for macro photography.
I found the lends a little clumsy when trying to get it to behave how I wanted it to. I resorted to leaving it at the 24mm setting.
It certainly pack a lot into a small body.
